The founder came to understand that the minimum requirement of land for a Primary School in urban areas is 3.5 acres so getting enough land was the first stumbling block. Fortunately, the surrounding area was not developed so the founder realized there was a possibility of slowly acquiring the neighboring land until the target is reached. The process of getting sufficient land was concluded in the year 2014. In May 2010 the founder migrated to Arusha to take up a new challenge at East Africa Law Society as Finance and Administrative Manager together with his family. The two sons Sabri and Tawfiiq joined Swift Pre and Primary School at Sakina area. At Swift the founder was in close contact with Ms Rahma Mashika who was among good teachers of the school. During the stay in Arusha the performance of Safi Nursery deteriorated because there was no close supervision. However, the founder continued to procure land in order to achieve a long-term plan of running a Primary School. In September 2012 the founder migrated to Dar es Salaam to join Gatco Ltd as General Manager. When he came back to Dar es salaam he decided to revive the Nursery by abolishing fees. The parents were only required to buy t-shirts, exercise books and pencils for their children. The offer lasted up to December 2013. In the year 2014 a small fee of Tsh 60,000 per annum was introduced. It is during this time when teacher Justina Shitundu was recruited in the process of reorganizing and improving the performance of Safi Nursery school. By this time also the founder had succeeded to build four small classes and two mini offices. In this year also the founder nominated Mr Mfuru to be the School Manager and he was charged with the responsibility of assisting the registration of the school. The dream to start a full fledged Primary School was put into practice in the year 2015 by introducing Grade I and II classes. The founder succeeded to convince teacher Rahma to migrate from Swift in Arusha and join Safi. Thus teacher Rahma was the first teacher to introduce Primary School section. The founder also introduced a new name of Safi Schools which is dully registered as business name with Brela. School fees were reviewed closer to the market rates. During this year also the first school van super custom was bought and driver Mustapha Samli was recruited as the first driver of the school. In the same year also Ms Sada Saidi was recruited as finance and administration officer. The school continued to prosper in year 2016 where more experienced teachers were recruited including teacher Subira Ibrahim and Madam Nadia Karugaba. The second school van was procured – Nissan Caravan and Omari Saidi was recruited as second driver of the school. Registration process and construction of various structures continued especially Block B which contains seven standard classes and a wide corridor. In the year 2017 many achievements were recorded. The third school bus – Nissan Civilian was bought through Amana Loan. A new driver Abdallah was recruited. More teachers were recruited to cope up with increasing number of students. Our first-class IV students attempted PESNO mock exams and national exams under Remnant Academy because our school was not yet registered. Their performance was good, and parents continued to get confidence with our school. The School was ultimately registered on 9th October 2017 with registration number EM. 17457. The school succeeded to procure another school bus – Hino Liesse. In this year also construction of Block C which contains a library, computer rooms, toilets and offices started. In the year 2018 Safi Pre and Primary School started as a complete school whereby Mr Paul E. Assey was recruited as a first Head Teacher. The vision of the founder is to see Safi becoming among the leading schools in Tanzania that upholds the highest standards of education and ethics in the very near future.
